SHANTI: So for this project, we had to pick an influencer or just really a role model to us, and we had to basically create this whole action plan based off of them that we made these beautiful art pieces.

REMINGTON: A role model to me is someone who make people have big dreams to be like them, or be something similar or even bigger.
JULIETA: The person that I picked my influencer is Malala Yousafzai. She is a women’s rights activist, and she fought for girls’ rights to be able to go to school, specifically Muslim girls. I think it’s unfair for people to be like, oh, you can go to school, you can’t. And I am grateful that I can come to school and I can come to school safe.
AIDAN: My influencer was Akira Toriyama He is a manga artist, like he creates manga books, and then he also made shows off his books. Art, it’s sometimes a way of expressing who you are and what you’re feeling.
MIRA: Frida Kahlo influences me because even though she was in pain in her whole life, she still did what she loved, art, and I really like her art.
SHANTI: I picked Dan Reynolds from Imagine Dragons. He’s a really cool person. He put on this whole music festival.
So for my thing, I really wanted to try to create an anti-bullying system in my school and make sure that kids feel safe. And I think planning was really I want to talk to people who know what I want and that they can help me make the change.
